A variety of beautiful landscapes and Himalayan views can be found in Tarke Ghyang, the largest village in Helambu. Following a short and beautiful trek, we descend through Melamchi Pul bazaar and return to Kathmandu in a relaxed manner.

Immerse yourself in breathtaking langtang himalayas, traverse enchanting rhododendron forests, explore the rich Tamang and sherpa heritage. Our customized trip helps you to maximize every moment during your trip to the Chisapani-Helambu.
Following breakfast, we will begin this incredible journey from Sundarijal, the trailhead for our wonderful trek. The journey to this quaint village will take about an hour and a half as we drive through rivers, waterfalls, and cool environments.
A stone staircase leads us to Shivapuri National Park, where we trek through a dense forest with oak, rhododendron, and pine trees, a watershed, and a serene environment to Mulkharka settlement. The way to Chisapani passes scattered villages and farm fields where birds feed and explore flora and fauna. You will see Dhap Dam on your way to Chisapani, an excellent short-hike destination from Kathmandu, where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Chisapani is one of the most picturesque mountain viewpoints for sunrises, sunsets, and close-up views of the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, and Everest Himalaya Range within 4-5 hours of walking. Chisapani is a delightful trekking destination just a few kilometers from Kathmandu, with a dense and beautiful forest, birds chirping, and an amazing view of the Himalayas. Overnight in Chisapani.
A spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan panorama of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himal sets the tone for the day. The path leads through a lush forest through Pati Bhanjyang village, a village populated by Brahmins and Chhetris.
Trekking uphill and downhill, you'll pass through the settlements of Gulbhanjyang and Chhiplin, patches of forest, and smaller settlements along the winding trail. The journey takes us through villages and lush landscapes, rolling hills, and green land to Kutumsang village, a settlement of Tamangs and Sherpas.
Located in the Nuwakot District of Nepal, Kutumsang provides panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, lush valleys, and terraced fields surrounding the region. With its diverse flora and fauna, Kutumsang offers rhododendron forests, bamboo groves, and an array of bird species, as well as spectacular views of the Langtang Himalayan range. Overnight in Kutumsang.
We will be moving ahead towards a big hill on the third day of the trek as we hike up to Thadepati village. The journey takes us through a forest of sal trees, oak trees, pine trees, and rhododendron trees, to a long mountain ridge known as Yurin Danda, and to a spectacular pass. The walk continues through the cool shade of the forest and eventually opens up to an open area with a check post and tea houses. Thadepati is reached after a short climb to complete the day's hike.
It is a pleasure to trek to Thadepati and see many traditional Sherpa and Tamang villages like Melamchi Gaun, Tarkeghyang, and Sermathang, which offer you a peek into their unique cultures, lifestyles, and warm hospitality, as well as their traditional practices, cuisine, monasteries, and Buddhist stupas.
A beautiful destination in the Himalayas, Thadepati offers incredible views of the Himalayas and scenic landscapes near Langtang National Park. The Langtang mountain range, including Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, and Jugal Himal, can be seen from Thadepati, along with the surrounding landscapes, which include alpine meadows, rhododendron forests, and cascading waterfalls, which make it a nature lover's paradise. Overnight in Thadepati.
A pleasant downhill trek awaits you on the fourth day following a short climb to the top of the ridge. From Thadepati, the journey continues through a rhododendron, hemlock, pine, and fir forest, passing Sheppard's huts and temporary settlements before crossing the famous Melamchi River.
A steep descent leads us to the Melamchi River, where the Tamang and Yolmo communities live. Our trek continues to Tarkeghyang via Nakote village, which is famous for its Tibetan carvings, green apple orchards, and ancient Buddhist monasteries.
Tarkeghyang is a gorgeous Sherpa village with ancient monasteries and a wonderful natural environment. In the past, the village was called Helambu, which is a name from the Hemlu tribe. As you ascend, you'll also walk over terraced land and through forests, bypassing many small settlements as you traverse terraced land and forests. Overnight in Tarkeghyang.
Taking steps to adjust to the thinner air today, we ascend and descend in steps to acclimatize to the high altitude. Adapting to the environment is best achieved by climbing high and sleeping low. It is the Sherpa people who are best suited to low-oxygen environments.
Our visit will also include a museum about these fascinating people and their traditions and customs. We will also be able to see Mount Everest for the first time here, behind the statue of Tenzing Norgay, who accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary to the summit. Tenzing is regarded as one of the bravest and most heroic Himalayan climbers ever.
A picturesque village in Nepal, Sermathang is located at an altitude of about 2,610 meters (8,562 feet) above sea level and offers a pleasant climate and a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. Sermathang is surrounded by lush green hills, terraced fields, and dense forests, which provide stunning views of the Himalayan ranges, including Langtang, Ganesh Himal, and Dorje Lakpa, as well as spectacular sunsets and sunrises that cast a golden hue across the valleys and mountains. Overnight in Sermathang.
This is the climax of the trip. A forest trail will lead you downhill to Melamchi Bazaar after spending a wonderful time at Sermathang. A scenic drive crossing various streams and waterfalls and small settlements inhabited by Sherpas and other ethnicities will take us to Melamchi Bazaar.
The Melamchi Bazaar is a small valley located north of Kathmandu at an altitude of 846m. The Melamchi Valley is close to Langtang National Park, and due to its slopes, it is a popular trekking destination where you can enjoy the scenery, including the mountains. Culturally, the region is diverse, with Brahmins, Chhetris, Tamangs, and Newars speaking Nepali as their primary language. Overnight in Melamchi Bazaar.
Your journey to explore Helambu Valley, experience Chisapani's beauty, and enjoy the serenity of this area ends as you drive to Kathmandu from Melamchi Bazaar.
We will go out on a walk in the evening and share the experience at a farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
