Built by Japanese Buddhist Monks, the World Peace Pagoda sits atop a hill overlooking Phewa Tal, the lake at the heart of Pokhara. Rent a boat to access the shorter but steeper trail or hike up from the trailhead starting right past Devi’s Falls for a full days’ adventure.
Catch the amazing views of the city, lake and Annapurna Range at the Stupa as the sun sets or dine in one of the small restaurants offering amazing views for only the cost of a delicious meal or cup of coffee. If you’re in a rush, catch a cab from the city center for only about 800 NPR, but be sure to spend some time roaming through the beautifully kept gardens surrounding the stupa.
