Welcome to Kathmandu home to God’s and Goddesses’ situated at the top of the world. You’ll be eagerly greeted upon your arrival and whisked off to your comfy hotel in the heart of the city. Kathmandu is yours to explore until the evening, where you’ll join our experts for a luxurious banquet of typical Nepalese cuisine and discuss your upcoming adventure.
Today a scenic 25-minute flight will take you in Bharatpur. From here it will take approximately one and a half hours by car to reach Meghauli at Chitwan National Park which is one of Asia’s finest national parks. Based in the lowlands of south-central Nepal and covering an area of 932 sq. km, Chitwan is listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage site since 1984 and is renowned for its varied and populous of wildlife. It is home to endangered species such as the Royal Bengal Tiger, the One-horned Rhinoceros, and the Leopard. Gaurs as well as Sloth Bears, Monkeys and varieties of Deer, Crocodiles, and Butterflies all populate this area along with more than 530 species of colorful birds.
The array of activities offered in Chitwan will ensure that your time spent there will be action packed. Plan your trip to Chitwan around the rainy season that runs from June to September for the best odds in seeing the most elusive animals in the park.
Today your Chitwan Jungle adventure comes to an end, with a relaxed morning before flying back to Kathmandu that afternoon. Upon your arrival, you will be taken to your hotel, where you can rest for a while. Later that afternoon, we’ll take you to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square to meet the Living Goddess Kumari and be blessed and take advantage of the vibrant local markets for some last shots before an evening of traditional Nepalese cultural program and dinner to conclude your trip.
