Manakamana Cable Car
The Manakamana Cable Car, which is also the first cable car service in Nepal, has been in operation since 1998, and is located in Kurintar (104 KMs south-west of Kathmandu). The ride will be thrilling as you cross the Trishuli River and ascend the mountains, gaining 1033 meters in elevation over a distance of 2.3 km (1.7 mi).
The Manakamana temple dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati is the major attraction. The North side of the temple offers spectacular views of the Annapurna Himalayan range and Manaslu.
After you reach the top, the area is surrounded by a market featuring shops that offer handicrafts, weapons, and restaurants. Bottom Station also operates a top-notch international restaurant serving local, Indian, and international cuisine.
