Welcome to Nepal! Your journey to the Himalayas has begun! Land at the airport in Kathmandu where you will be greeted at the airport by one of our representatives. You will then be transferred to your hotel in the city, where you can rest after your long flight.
After breakfast, you’ll start with a quick orientation before taking you on a tour of Kathmandu’s historical sights. In the morning, enjoy a leisurely walking tour in Swayambhunath (literally meaning self-incarnated), which is known as the Monkey Temple, as herds of monkeys reside there. Swayambhunath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and itself consists of various shrines dating back to the ancient period. Afterward, head towards another UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city's historic center, Kathmandu Durbar Square. Explore its gorgeous palaces, elaborately carved temples, and courtyards while paying a visit to the home of the Kumari, Nepal's famed Living Goddess, whose centuries-old customs continue to play a significant role in the nation's cultural legacy. Although this day is all yours, relax and soak into the vibrant Kathmandu. In the afternoon, we recommend picking up any trekking gear you might need and taking time to relax, as we’ll be setting off early for our Everest adventure tomorrow.
Early in the morning, you will enjoy a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu (45 min fly), offering breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan foothills. Once you arrive at Phaplu, you will meet our trekking guide and start your journey with a gentle hike toward the Salleri region through charming villages, terraced farmlands, and pine forests. You can acclimate while taking in the tranquil way of life and the hospitality of the nearby Sherpa and Rai communities on this little climb.
After breakfast, begin your journey towards Ringmo along the historic paths that snake through pine and rhododendron forests, passing quaint towns and suspension bridges. On the way, you can witness the Beautiful vistas of the nearby hills and far-off snow-capped summits. Upon arrival at Ringmo, a serene Sherpa village renowned for its old monasteries, traditional stone homes, and serene ambiance.
Today’s trek begins with a gradual ascent to the historic Taksindu Pass, where you can see the stunning Taksindu Monastery and, on clear days, take in stunning views of Everest, Numbur, and the surrounding Himalayan ranges. Reach Junbesi, one of the most gorgeous Sherpa communities in the Solu region, by descending from the pass through woods and delightful villages. Discover the village's hospitable locals and rich Buddhist culture.
After leaving Junbesi, the trail progressively ascends through rocky mountain scenery, yak pastures, and alpine meadows. With expansive vistas of the majestic Himalayan peaks, the landscape grows more spectacular as the elevation rises. Arrive at Dudh Kunda Base Camp, which is tucked away beneath the revered Dudh Kunda Lake. There, you'll spend the night in the unspoiled mountain environment.
Get up early for an unforgettable trip to the Buddhist and Hindu holy Dudh Kunda Lake. With the towering Himalayan hills in the background, the pristine glacier lake is thought to have spiritual and therapeutic value. Before heading back to the base camp for the night, spend some time exploring, taking in the breathtaking view, and taking priceless pictures.
After an early breakfast, retrace your steps through alpine terrain, then gradually descend toward the Solu region's lush forests and quaint settlements. A fun and fulfilling day's hike is made possible by the descent, which provides an alternative viewpoint of the breathtaking mountain scenery. Return to Junbesi and unwind in this quaint Sherpa village.

You can unwind, take in the city's lively marketplaces, have a typical Nepali dinner, or buy mementos to remember your trip to the Himalayas.
