Lower Dolpo trek has its own charm. It is located in the remote and isolated western religion of Nepal offering a true experience of Nepalese life. It is home to the largest national park in Nepal, Phoksundo Lake National Park which boasts Nepal’s deepest lake. Rich in wildlife, flora and fauna we may even see a Snow Leopard. The snow leopard is endangered so we try to protect this area the best we can to promote a viable area for positive wild reproduction. Their hospitality is second to none so embrace this opportunity to immerse yourself in culture.

The Dolpo people wear homespun clothing that is sometimes dyed maroon, and they favour Tibetan style somba or dhocha (boots with upturned toes) for footwear. Both men and women often wear religious amulets and strings of coral, amber and turquoise. The people of the region are both Bön Po and Nyingmapa of Buddhist sect.
