There are many popular trekking destinations in Nepal. One of the most picturesque is near Kathmandu and is known as Langtang.. It is connected with long mountainous valleys of Lantang and Helambu with a high mountain lake of Gosaikunda. The trek starts with an 8-hour drive to Syabrubesi, where you will be able to see the Langtang river valley. On this trek you will be able to see excellent snow ridges and the glaciers of the mountain. This area was named Nepal’s first Himalaya’s National Park in 1971 and is a home of various types of natural species, such as langoor monkeys, rhododendron, red pandas and Himalayan black bears. Some of these animals are endangered and are beautiful species, come check them out.
With the magnificent trail, you will encounter Himalayas range like Langtang (7246 meters), Dorje Lakpa (6966 m), Gang Chhentopo (6388m), and Naya Kangri (5846m). On the fourth day, you will reach Kyajin Gompa (3870m),where you will look for a small Buddhist temple, a treat for those who find it. Later you will enjoy Laurebina, this is before you go on to explore the Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda glaciers. After crossing Laurebina Pass, at 4610 meters, you will discover Helambu’s Sherpa village. Before returning to the car in Kathmandu, you will get the opportunity to visit other great places, such as Sunrise, Chisapani, to other great Himalayas. The Langtang Trek is filled with tall peaks, glossy glaciers and fabulous lakes. There are Buddhist villages inhabited by indigenous Sherpa and Tamang people, whose language and attitude trace to Tibet. In the summer, the Langtang Valley is a vibrant, colorful garden which is hidden in the most distant corner of the world. A truly great experience. The trek is difficult, those who are strong should consider trekking this experience. There is constant climbing for several days, with the maximum height of 5050 meters in Chorkari. Though the experience of seeing nature and trekking through the landscape is amazing. You are able to see monasteries and learn about the culture of the Himalayas.

Swyambhunath meaning self-incarnated and also known as ’ Monkey temple’ because there are many sacred monkeys. Swayambhunath history begins before the beginning of the settlement of the valley. According to mythology, Bodhisattava Mahan Manjushree had a vision of lotus at Swyambhunath and traveled there for Prayer from Great China. Later, he realized that Kathmandu had human possibilities, so he cut the hill of chovar with his powerful sword and to create a gorge, where all the water fell out of the valley and drained. Once a lake, the Valley now got access to human settlement.
Swyambhunath is now the historical magnitude of the UNESCO World Heritage Site . You can see the valley from the top of the Swyambhunath . It lies in just three kilometers west of the city. The Stupa Ne is one of the most holy Buddhist sites in Nepal and most Hindus visit with huge respect. Therefore, Swyambhunath is the connecting link between the Hinduism and Buddhism.

This is the first day of your trekking and you will cross the Mountains, Langtang River and suspension bridges that you will follow for few days. The trails move towards the deep valley, and then you reach the Rimche from the Bamboo forest. Trekking from Rimche is about 1 hour to reach the Lama Hotel. In the forest, you will have the opportunity to see some animals like Monkeys and Red Pandas and possibly a Himalayan Bear. You will spend a night in a famous Lama Hotel.
Langtang Village is the headquarters of Langtang National Park. During the Trek you go through Gumanechok and Ghoda Tabela (horse stable) which is located at a height of 3000 meters. The forest is raised from the jungle, spread to the valley, some temporary accommodations used by herders. Crossing high pastures with grass-breeding cattle, this is an amazing authentic village experience that can not be found. Today, when you rotate fast and explore the monastery, you will find and discover the Langtang Lirung. You will reach the Langtang village after 6 hours trekking.
Today’s transit is comparatively easy to Langtang village by canning gaming. The trail is slowly rotated through small villages and yalk pastures. By crossing too many small streams and moraines, this journey reaches Kyangjin, where you will have your lunch. Here, you have enough time to explore and relax. This is a great place to show your skill and photography interest.

After capturing the exotic views of Mountains, Himalayas and Ice fall you will downhill to Lama Hotel. You will get glimpse of the fantastic towering mountains which you might have missed on the way up.
The trail’s start is bright in the terrain and then goes on to the upper Syabru. On the way you can encounter red pandas, monkeys and different species of birds.Thulo Syabru is one of the wonderful villages of the Himalayas where you can enjoy wonderful scenarios with magnificent views of Ganesh Himal (7110m), Langtang Himal and its ranges.
After following the beautiful SYABRU’s beautiful village, you will be able to climb a wide range of Dimsa villages and trial will be low in the speed through Rhododendron, Hemlock, and Oak forests. You could see potato’s traditional farming with a few residents, including Shin Gomba, popular place of Yak Cheese. On this route, you will see the magnificent views of the Langtang range including Annapurna range
The trail is easily assembled from the RHODODENDRON forest and the view of the Trishuli River is far away. The area of Shin Gomba and Laurebina Yak is a sanctuary for endangered species i.e Red Panda. The Langtang National Park is home to many animals and is not surprising to see some animals in front of you.
You return to the Ridge Path and go to a comprehensive one that goes to Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is a conserved area and also a religious site for Hindus. It is believed that the lake was made to quench the thirst of Lord Shiva after consuming poison. In August, many Hindus travel to Gosaikunda to take a holy bath in the devotion of Lord Shiva to cleanse sin. Explore the aura of Lakes and overnight in Gosaikunda.
Today you will push yourself to your physical limits, embracing the challenge that lies ahead. The route demands preserverance, precision and a focused mindset as you navigate the steep climbs and descends. Along the way you will pass through diverse terrains, including three small lakes, until you finally reach the nearest Lauribina Pass, situated at an elevation of 4610 m. Surrounding the valley, you will be able to spot the prominent ridge, adorned with the trail you are following. Moving beyond the ridge, you will enter a dense jungle and eventually arrive at Thare Danda. After trekking for half a day you will reach Ghopte, a ridge that serves as a temporary settlement and your overnight destination.
After breakfast in Ghopte, the trail leaves Thadepati and slowly decends through the forest. Here you will find the Helambu Circuit Trek route. The Valley of “Sherpas”, Helambu is famous for Sherpa culture, Sherpas; are well known in the Himalayas for their physical and mental strength. This trail drops steadily all day through Fir, Rhododendron and prickly leafed oak forest. You will enjoy the excellent views of Gangchempo(6,387m) and Dorje Lakpa (6,966m) peaks.
After a short walk, we pass by Kuala Bhanjyang(3335m) and descend to the village of Kutumsang(2470m)
Kutumsang is well known for sunrise, you can literally see different colors of the Himalayas that have a golden silver gold from silver, a scene that leaves trace in your mind for a lifetime. Today it is a medium day that TREKKERS can reach some easy area within and follow down ridge to reach Chisapani, which takes 6 hours.
Chisapani meaning cold water is a Tamang (one of the 103 ethnic groups in Nepal) heritage trail that will lead you to the spectacular mountain views across the Mulkharka and Shivapuri National Park. Shivapuri is also well renowned for its short hikes as well as the lush green vegetation and number of wildlife. Today we are ending our amazing and breathtaking Langtang trek at the Northern end of Kathmandu Known as Sundarijal. Onwards you will be driven back to Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the world’s most renowned temples and is listed as world heritage site. It is a Pagoda style Hindu temple which is dedicated to the gilt roofing as well as the carved silver door to Lord Shiva. It is located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. The sacred, Pashupatinath has been dedicated to the Lord Shiva and was first established in the 5th century. Nepal’s most sacred Hindu pilgrimage place, Pashupatinath has got attention for worship for at least fifteen years. The cremation of Hindu body is emotionally visible but an interesting way to life cycle.
Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square complex is situated at Mangal Bazzar. Patan Durbar Square and its surroundings is good specimen of ancient Newari architecture that was built during the Malla reign. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley. The famous Krishna Temple with 21 pinnacles built in Shikhar style is the major highlight. The courtyard or the Chowks named Mul chowk, Sundari chowk, mani chowk and Narayan Chowk are other places of interest. The Durbar Square is another interesting way to look at the closer look in Nepal’s bronze statues and religious objects. You can stroll around the old Newari residential houses and explore the beautiful golden temple along with the Kumbheshwor; oldest temple in the valley.
Getting attached and leaving the traces of wonderful vistas of mountains, culture, people and places for more than two weeks. We now conclude the journey for this time but not for a lifetime because as the famous slogan, Naturally Nepal: Once is not enough.
