Description

Yala Peak Climbing is a practical climbing peak in the Langtang region, north of Kathmandu. Langtang is adorable to the mountaineers as it has got the options for all, those willing to take on to the climbing expedition above 7000 m or even the non technical climb like Yala Peak below 600m. In 1949,the legendary mountain explorer Bill Tilman trekked for first time in the Lantang region. He climbed Paldor Peak as one of the last expeditions of his life. After that the region has been known to the mountaineer.

You can easily drive through Pasang Lhamu highway reaching Rasuwagadi , Tibetan Border to reach Syafrubesi, the gateway to Langtang trekking.  Varieties of animal including musk deer, Himalayan Black bears, Himalayan Tahr, langur monkeys, ghorals, the rare snow leopard, and the red pandas and numerous trees including oak, blue pine, maple and also the rhododendron flowers make the National Park rich in flora and fauna. It resembles partly the Sagarmatha National Park, and the southern side has also the subtropical vegetations.

Yala Peak is one of the biggest opportunity for the beginners in the peak climbing and mountaineering expedition as it is a non –technical climb. The climbers should however possess a great physical stamina and will power to take on the climbing. Having reached the Yala Peak, you will be amazed to see the specatacular views of Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Dorje Lakpa (6,990m), Gangchempo (6,388m) and Sishapangma (8,027m) and other snow capped mountain peaks. The climbing expedition also provides an opportunity to get to know the Buddhist culture and visit the sacred Kyanjin Gompa in the Kyanjin.
